Western Campus Library Services: Books, Computers, and Other Resources

Books, Audiobooks, DVDs, and Online Resources
The library holds reference books, circulating books, audiobooks, and DVDs in addition to eBooks, numerous databases and subject guides covering all topics from chemistry to literature to language learning.

In accessing the library databases off campus, you will be asked to login with a user name and password. Use your Key Account (the same username and password for Web Advisor and Blackboard).

Computers
We have 12 computers and 3 laptops for research and general use. Computers are prioritized for research; social media users may be asked to give up their computer if others need it for research. You are welcome to bring your own laptop; the library provides Wi-Fi access. Printing requires a student ID, and there are no photocopying services available.

Laptops
Laptops are available to be checked out.  During  the semester, students can checked them out for up to 3 weeks.

Reserve Materials
Instructors place materials on hold for students who can't afford or forget textbooks. These items are at the front desk for in-library use only and must be checked out with a valid student ID.

Interlibrary Loan
Can’t find a book in our library? Check out Interlibrary Loan. The library can borrow books from any of the other Wake Tech Libraries or from other community colleges in North Carolina. In the library catalog, click Place Hold on the item you want, enter "WA" and your seven digit student ID and your PIN (1234). We will email and/or call you when your book arrives.
