The Perry Health Sciences Library has 3 Meta Quest 2 headsets available for faculty and currently enrolled students on a first-come, first-served basis.  All VR equipment is in-library use only, with a 1-hour loan period.

Borrowing Information

Visit the Perry Health Sciences Circulation desk to borrow any of virtual reality headsets with your valid Wake Tech ID.

All VR systems are to be used in the designated Lab & VR Studio space in Room 121 of the Perry Health Sciences Library. Though the Meta Quest 2 VR headset is a mostly untethered experience and does not require a PC or sensors, the library's VR Studio includes two zSpace Inspire augmented reality PCs that can be used with the headset via an optical tether cord available at the Circulation Desk.  However, those users who require use of the zSpace Inspire laptops and software for academic purposes have priority over VR users.

Borrowing Policies

  • A valid Wake Tech ID is required to borrow the Meta Quest 2 headset and accessories
  • A completed and signed Virtual Reality (VR) Toolkit Loan Agreement is required each semester
    • Review of all documentation, associated risks, and safety videos is required before use
