This is an internal guide covering the library disaster plan and emergency procedures.

WTCC Emergency Procedures and Documents

The college Emergency Response Plan is linked below. Additional documents can be found in the Wake Tech Portal at go.waketech.edu (opens in new tab). Follow the steps below to access the materials: 

  • ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY: Employee- More- Environmental Health and Safety. Here you will find information about fire drills, emergency preparedness training, chemical safety, and biosafety. 
  • TRESPASS GALLERY: Employee- Employee Resources- Trespass Gallery. This is the list of students who are not allowed on the WTCC campus. Photos are included. 
  • CAMPUS SAFETY, FACILITIES, AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES: Employee- Employee Resources- Policy Library, then click on the title. This is a comprehensive list of procedures for various events including bomb threats, fires, etc. There are also general policies that affect campus safety. 

These policies will be reflected in this guide for quick access, but staff members are strongly encouraged to read the policies in more depth.

Where to Find Alerts

Emergency Alerts:

WAKE TECH WARN is an emergency alert system designed to inform and instruct the campus community in case of an emergency on or near Wake Tech grounds. This site is updated continuously to make sure you have the latest information. In the event of an emergency or inclement weather situation, WAKE TECH WARN will notify you in the following ways:

Current students and employees of Wake Tech are automatically registered for Wake Tech Warn email alerts. Login with your key account username and password to add another email address or phone number.
