Books in Your Library

Wake Tech Libraries contain thousands of books on a wide variety of subjects.

Reference Books. Encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries, etc.
Nonfiction. Books based on real events, people, and facts.
Fiction. Novels, YA fiction, graphic novels, etc.

You can browse the collection at the library, or use the Book Catalog below to search our collections.

To check out a book at the library, you'll need your Wake Tech Student ID Card.

You can search by author, title, or subject.
To place a book on Hold, enter WA followed by your Wake Tech ID number (ex: WA123456). The PIN number is 1234. You'll need to have a library account already set up in order to place a hold online.

Books Online

Wake Tech Libraries provides students with access to over 350,000 ebooks. You can find them by doing a Summon Search or by searching individual collections.

This allows you to search ALL of Wake Tech Library's resources. After you do a search, you can narrow the results to Books/ebooks using the menu on the left.
NC LIVE eBooks (opens in new window)
NC LIVE has several ebook collections. Many contain reference and nonfiction books, but a few contain fiction.

A collection of ebooks that you can read on your computer. This database allows you to use an online dictionary and create a citation for the ebook.
