RDMS Certification Information:

Most ultrasound technician and sonographer jobs in North Carolina require that you have a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification. To obtain this credential, you must:

Meet the examination prerequisites
Pass the physics examination
Pass a specialty examination

You must pass the physics examination and specialty examination within five years, regardless of the sequence you take the exams in.
