This is a list of scholarships and grants available to North Carolina students.
Assistance League of the Triangle Scholarship Program (opens in new window)
The Assistance League of the Triangle assists individuals in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina (Wake, Durham, and Orange counties) through service, resources and financial support. The scholarships are valued at $1,000 to $2500 per academic year.
Business and Professional Women of Raleigh (opens in new window)
Business and Professional Women of Raleigh provide scholarships to students seeking to further their education, advance their careers or re-enter the workforce.
Caremark Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship (opens in new window)
The Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship is intended for college, vocational or private school students that are clinically diagnosed with hemophilia or von Willebrand disease.
Dottie Martin Teachers Scholarship (opens in a new window)
This annual scholarship is designed for any student who is presently enrolled in a college or university and studying education. Its purpose is to assist aspiring teachers who are particularly interested in child guidance who want to make a difference in the lives of North Carolina's children.

National & International Scholarships

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program (opens in new window)
The Gilman Scholarship Program offers awards for undergraduate study abroad. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
Boren Scholarships (opens in new window)
Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide opportunities for U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Fulbright U.S. Student Program (opens in new window)
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or English Teaching Assistantships. A candidate will submit a Statement of Grant Purpose defining activities to take place during one academic year in a country outside the U.S.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship (opens in new window)
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.
Language Flagship Undergraduate Programs (opens in new window)
The Language Flagship is a federally-funded effort and is a component of the National Security Education Program. NSEP was created to develop a partnership between the national security community and higher education to address national needs in critical languages and regions.
