The Sentencing Commission is mandated to produce biennial reports on recidivism of offenders in the adult criminal justice and juvenile justice systems. Reports are published in each even-numbered year. The first juvenile recidivism report, required by N.C.G.S. 164-48, was published in 2007. Reports are published in each odd-numbered year starting in 2007.

The ACA is a professional association for those in corrections who want to improve the criminal justice system.
