Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum (opens in new window) is Wake Tech’s GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance), open to all LGBTQ students and their allies. 

 

Safe Space Allies:

This is a list of faculty and staff  (opens in new window) who have pledged to be support LGBTQ students and their allies at Wake Tech. To find an ally, look for the Safe Space sign. 

 

Local Resources

The LGBT Center of Raleigh (opens in new window) mission is "To strengthen individual and community development through social and educational activities; to facilitate the incubation of supportive services and groups; and to identify needs and advocate for resources benefiting the diverse population of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their friends and supporters within and beyond central North Carolina." Their website also has a comprehensive list of LGBT friendly community resources including legal services, transition assistance, wedding resources, therapists, and more.  

Equality NC (opens in new window) is an organization that works "in partnership with broad-based coalitions and grassroots activities, Equality NC is committed to building a better future for all North Carolinians by protecting youth, strengthening families and empowering communities."
