What's in the Library

Wake Tech Libraries are open five days a week. Some libraries are open four days a week in the summer.

Most libraries have:

  • computers
  • laptops
  • a photocopier
  • study rooms
  • emergency flash drives
  • calculators

You can check out books, CDs, and DVDs. To get a library card, come to any library and fill out an application. If you find that we don't have a book on the subject you need, then we can request one from another library. This service is called Interlibrary Loan, and you can do it from home. If you find that you cannot afford your textbooks or forget yours and need to do some work, there is a textbook reserve collection available. Books are not available for all classes, but if your professor has an extra copy, you can ask him/her to place it on hold at the library.

Can't Find What You Need?

If the library does not have a book or article that you need, you can order items through interlibrary loan (ILL).

What is Interlibrary Loan? Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that allows our library patrons to borrow materials from other libraries. Materials are mailed to WTCC Library where you can then view or check out the materials.

To find books that are held by other libraries all over the world, you can search WorldCat.org (opens in new window).
